Saltprint's green business cards are printed on Revive Recycled card from Australian Paper's Wesley Vale Mill. Below are some facts about this paper stock.

ECF (Elemental Chlorine Free) & TCF (Totally Chlorine Free)
This new recycled stock is made from two pulps. One portion recycled fibre and the other portion virgin fibre. The vigrin fibre is ECF (Elemental Chlorine Free) and the recycled fibre is TCF (Totally Chlorine Free). What does this mean? During the process of making paper the stock requires a bleaching process to remove the impurities found, giving it a nice clean white finish. Traditionally chlorine is used to bleach the impurities out, but unfortunately this can have negative effects on the environment. However, the virgin fibre is bleached with a derivative of chlorine which is cleaner and less harmful to the environment. The recycled fibre uses hydrogen peroxide to bleach the pulp which has an even less impact on the environment.

ENERGY SOURCE
During the process of making this recycled stock 92% of the energy used was renewable. The renewable energy was sourced from hyrdoelectric and wind farm power. This form of energy does not produce any carbon emissions, which are a large contributor to the greenhouse effect.

ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING
During the manufacturing process of the Revive Revive Recycled paper and card, Wesley Vale Mill strictly monitors both the local marine environment and also monitor the air emissions, making sure that there is minimal impact to the environment.
